Den Helder, Netherlands

N99: Kooybrug closed.

From Friday morning 23 May 10:00 to Friday morning 30 May 05:00, the Kooybrug in the N99 will be closed completely to all traffic one more time. This is necessary because, among other things, a protective layer will be applied to protect the bridge from wear and tear. During this period, road users must take into account serious traffic disruptions and considerably extra travel time. During this period, Rijkswaterstaat calls on road users to work from home if possible, travel differently or together, or travel outside rush hour. In this way, the region remains accessible for road users who really have to take to the road.

Other activities

Traffic on the N9 between De Stolpen and Den Helder must take into account traffic disruptions and extra travel time from 6 to 16 May. During this period, repair work will be carried out on the Koegrastunnel in the N9. Traffic towards Den Helder will be diverted via the N248, N249 and the N99 and must take into account extra travel time of between 15 and 30 minutes. Traffic towards Alkmaar and emergency and aid services will not experience any disruption.
