Today, Den Helder Airport had the pleasure of welcoming an enthusiastic group of students from the SVAAA for an inspiring visit to our airport.
The day was entirely dedicated to getting acquainted with the practical side of things. During a behind-the-scenes tour, the students gained a good understanding of the daily operations at Den Helder Airport. Various companies located at the airport explained their activities and roles within the organization, providing a broad and realistic picture of the sector.
In addition, our business developer Nick Waterdrinker gave a presentation in which he took the students through the developments and opportunities within aviation, and specifically at Den Helder Airport.
To conclude the day, the students took a special walk along the airside towards Bristow. Here, they were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Search and Rescue (SAR) operations conducted with the AgustaWestland AW189. This unique experience gave the students an impressive insight into the important work performed here daily.
Den Helder Airport attaches great importance to connecting with young talent and sharing practical experience. We hope that this visit has inspired the students in their further studies and future careers within the aviation sector.
We thank the students of SVAAA for their visit and look forward to welcoming them again in the future.
