House rules

Anyone at the airport isobliged:

  1.       a.  in accordance with the provisions of these regulations and all others determined by or on behalf of the management
               to act;

      b. to him / her by or on behalf of the management or Airport Security by means of words, gestures or signs
           follow instructions given;

      c.  to provide the information requested from him / her by or on behalf of the management or Airport Security in accordance with these regulations
           provide.

  1. Anyone who acts contrary to the obligations imposed in the previous paragraph or arising from statutory provisions, will be prohibited from access to the airport, without prejudice to the other provisions in this regard.
  1. Damage caused to persons, property, buildings or surrounding areas must be reported to the management.

It's anyone who is at the airport prohibited:
a. to deposit or leave rubbish, paper, food, food scraps or other waste materials in other than the
     places designated by or on behalf of the management;
b. feed birds;
c. to be without necessity outside the mandatory walkways, passageways, platforms and surrounding areas;
d. to stay in inaccessible or designated parts of Den Helder Airport or to allow own passage
     without the prior consent of the management;
e. to drive vehicles on sidewalks and lawns, or to place vehicles there;
f. cleaning or repairing vehicles elsewhere than at the places designated by the management;
g. to park cars, motorcycles and bicycles in, in front of or against the station building;
h. to store and dispose of goods, barrels, boxes, building materials, spare parts and other movable goods
     put or leave it standing outside the designated places or areas;
i. be in an apparent state of intoxication and under the influence of any narcotic;
j. to use, transport, trade or possess drugs or other narcotics;
k. to smoke, other than in the so-called smoking area designated by the management;
l. carry weapons or objects that are prohibited by law or that may cause harm to persons or
     possessions;
m. carry or transport objects suitable for threats: weapons, explosives or other dangerous objects
     substances / liquids that are suitable for the threat of persons or the safety of an aircraft or
     endanger assets;
n. leave luggage, cargo, mail items, objects unattended;
o. to start up fire detection, fire protection and fire extinguishing equipment without necessity, or the operation
     reduce them or make the accessibility of this equipment more difficult;
p. to stay in any place, after having been summoned by a person charged with supervision there to
     remove;
q. roller-skating, skating, skateboarding, scooters and (moped) bicycles in the building;
r. disable or damage safety or security measures, architectural / electronic or
     optical / visual (cameras) means;
s. in general to do or refrain from doing anything that could disrupt or interfere with order or security at the airport
     bodily injury or property damage could be caused;
t. to conduct guided tours without the permission of the management;
u. Hinder Airport Security, emergency services or the emergency response organization in their activities;
v. allow children under the age of 12 to leave the airport unaccompanied by their parents / supervisors
     to fail;

It's everyone prohibited, without permission from the management, on the airport grounds / in or around the station building and Airport hangars:
a. to carry on a business and to do it or to have it carried out or to perform or to perform any other act of a commercial nature
     doing or having performed, including offering services and goods in any form, acting as
     guide, parcel carrier, delivery man, guard of bicycles and motor vehicles, cleaner, peddler, landlord, salesman,
     broker, courier and the like;

b. to store or carry dangerous goods / substances and / or liquids with them, to transport and / or to bring them into the
     buildings. Even if the hazardous (liquid) substance is packaged in accordance with the Hazardous Substances Act for storage or use
     transport, a mandatory pre-notification must be made to the management and Airport Security.

      These substances may only be brought airside (airport / aerodrome) under the guidance of the recipient
      and through the designated passageways. Storage is only permitted in the areas designated by the management
      locations. Depending on the type of hazardous substance, management can adopt further measures. For the guidelines with
      with regard to dangerous substances, see article 73 of the Airport Regulations.

c. to affix or have affixed or have affixed advertising signs, placards / posters, and pamphlets, printed matter,

n. the use of vehicles with combustion engines in buildings.

Handling areas and waiting rooms in the station building

  1. Access to the Departures and Arrivals Halls is only permitted to passengers, aircraft crew members, handling personnel, Airport Security and border control authorities.
  2. Everyone is allowed to enter the central hall or restaurant, unless the management is of the opinion that public order is being disrupted.
  3. The sale and use of alcoholic beverages in the station building is permitted under the following conditions:

a. to anyone, with the exception of outgoing offshore passengers and persons under the age of 18;

b. alcoholic drinks may only be consumed in the restaurant;

c. it is forbidden to take and consume alcoholic beverages without the permission of the management in areas where privacy is not guaranteed.

Photographing / Filming

  1. For professional photo, film and / or video recordings for business purposes on the part of the airport that is not accessible to the public, permission is required from the management.
  2. For taking photographic images on the platform of aircraft and / or the making of recordings in aircraft must be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the management that there is no objection on the part of the airline or owner.
  3. It is prohibited to make photo, film and / or video recordings of the security and constructional measures related to the security.

Dogs and other animals

  1. Everyone must ensure that an animal in their care at the airport:
    a. does not cause nuisance to third parties;
    b. does not enter any part of a apron, taxiway or the airport grounds.
  2. Dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times and remain under the supervision of the owner.
  3. Breakaway animals should be immediately recalled or retrieved. If this is not possible without leaving the site open to the public, this must be reported immediately to air traffic control, Operations and / or Airport Security.
  4. Free-range animals at the airport and / or the aerodrome must be reported immediately to air traffic control, Operations or Airport Security.                                                                                       
  5. Paragraphs 1b and 2 do not apply to dogs used by the operator or government for the performance of their duties.
  6. With regard to the provisions of this article, further provisions may be made by the management.

Lost and found

  1. Anyone who finds an object at the airport must immediately hand it over to Airport Security, at the counter of the handling company, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee or the management.
  2. The finder must deposit the matter if required by the management.
  3. The owner obtains the found object if it is claimed before the periods mentioned in the next paragraph. The person who claims the item can be charged a custody fee.
  4. Valuables must be kept in custody by the management for a period of 12 months. If these items are not claimed within this period, the finder can claim them for 1 month after the expiry of the above-mentioned period of 12 months.
  5. All found objects are reported to the municipality of Den Helder. Lost objects can be found 2 weeks after being lost via lostofgevonden.nl.
  6. For other laws and regulations, we refer to Book 5 of the Dutch Civil Code.

Parking

  1. Parking must take place within the parking areas designated as such (Annex C of the Airport Regulations). The vehicle may only be parked in the designated parking spaces.
  2. It is not allowed to park in front of the station building. There are, however, special zones for Kiss and ride and loading / unloading. Here, drivers may only allow passengers to board and disembark and load and unload baggage / cargo. In all other cases, the driver must park the vehicle on the designated area.
  3. Parking is at your own risk.
    Personnel in possession of a Den Helder Airport parking pass are obliged to park in the designated parking space and must park in such a way that there is no inconvenience to other parkers or entrances, passageways and exits to the parking lot. This also applies to commercial vehicles.
  4. Any (environmental) damage to the parking areas and parking installations will be recovered from the driver / owner of the vehicle.
  5. The parking of vehicles in the car park referred to in paragraph 1 is only permitted for a fee.
    The parking areas A, B and C and the motorcycle and bicycle shed are only intended for parking the vehicles of passengers, persons working at the airport and visitors;
  6. The management does not accept any liability for loss or damage caused to a vehicle.
    The management reserves the right to have vehicles that do not belong to the persons as described above or that have been there for longer than 3 months, removed from the parking lot, from the bicycle shed or motorcycle shed. The costs thereof, as well as the parking costs due are recovered from the owner.
  7. It is forbidden to store or have vehicle wrecks, caravans / campers and trailers in the airport and car park. Vehicle wrecks are understood to mean vehicles that do not meet the requirements and conditions referred to in Article 14, paragraph 1, of the Road Traffic Regulations, or insofar as these vehicles are in an apparently neglected state.
  8. The management may make an exception to the aforementioned paragraph 7.

Liability

  1. The management accepts, neither for itself nor for the employees, any liability for damage or personal injury arising at the airport or aerodrome; Nor does it accept any liability for theft, loss, destruction, damage or any damage whatsoever, except insofar as serious shortcomings on its part appear.
  2. The management does not accept any liability for damage that may arise because the aerodrome or the accommodation, in the opinion of the management or any other authority, cannot be made available in whole or in part.
  3. Outside the normal opening hours of the airport, with regard to the use of the civil part of the aerodrome, the general and special conditions regarding the joint use of military aerodromes by third parties, in addition to the provisions of these regulations, also apply.
  4. It is mandatory to immediately report damage or suspected damage caused to the property of the airport or third parties to the management and / or Airport Security.

Covid-19 measures at Den Helder Airport

To allow all passengers, visitors and employees to stay safely and responsibly in and around Den Helder Airport, a number of extra measures have been taken for access.

When entering the Den Helder Airport terminal building, everyone must answer a number of questions regarding Covid-19 and the reason for visiting Den Helder Airport.

Subsequently, a voluntary temperature measurement with an infrared camera follows.

If you do not want to cooperate in this, you can be denied access to Den Helder Airport in order to continue to guarantee the safety for the other people present in the building.

The 1.5 meter distance must be observed and a mouth mask is mandatory. Disinfection gel has been made available for general use throughout the building.

Visitors to the restaurant, customers and other third parties are only allowed by appointment with the indoor companies of Den Helder Airport and only under the conditions mentioned above. Couriers and suppliers use specially designated access points to the freight agents.

To limit the risk of further spread, we request all passengers, visitors, suppliers and employees to adhere to the additional measures. Den Helder Airport always follows the advice of the government, the RIVM and the GGD. If additional measures are required, these will be communicated in a timely manner.

 The management reserves the right to expand the security / safety measures in exceptional situations and to deviate from the internal regulations if security requires this.
